The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reached their peak of popularity in the early ’90s, and after that point it became almost impossible to avoid them. After a successful line of comics, the series quickly branched out into an animated series, live-action movies, and a hit arcade game simply called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The Turtles would go on to star in their own games throughout the ’90s, including the highly acclaimed Turtles in Time. The turtles took more than two decades to appear in other titles. While it’s great to see Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo appear elsewhere, the quality of these cameos varies depending on which universe they end up falling into. Either way, they’ll bring the pizza.
5 Hurt
Smite originally launched in 2014 and continues to receive new content and updates. In this popular MOBA, you can play as mythological figures, working together with other players to achieve victory in its PvP modes. Smite is packed with fascinating characters, engaging gameplay, and a host of crossovers with franchises like Transformers, Stranger Things, and of course Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
This collaboration allows you to see Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo, and Michelangelo take on gods like Zeus, Ares, and Tyr. Unfortunately, the Turtles are just masks for previous gods, rather than being their own characters. It was fun to have references to Krang and TMNT inspired loading screens for a season, but it was soon overshadowed by future crossovers.
4 Nickelodeon Kart Racers 1 and 2
While Mario Kart 8 Deluxe released for Switch back in 2017, Nintendo hasn’t released a new entry in its beloved franchise since 2014. The absence of Mario Kart 9 has allowed many franchises, like Final Fantasy, to re-enter the rally. for the best kart racing game. Nickelodeon has also joined the fray, releasing two different titles between 2018 and 2020.
Both games feature a ton of Nickelodeon characters, including all four of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The first entry was critically panned for its horrible aesthetics, dull gameplay, and lack of voice acting. While most of these issues were resolved in the sequel to create a much more engaging and fun experience, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix is still without voice acting, preventing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from showing off one of their best traits: their personalities. .
3 Nickelodeon Brawl Stars
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is something of a mixed bag when it comes to representing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Unlike other entries on this list, the entire crew is not available to choose from. Leonardo and Michelangelo, along with April O’Neil and Shredder, are on the list, while Donatello and Raphael don’t even make a cameo appearance.
It is also one of the few games to feature the voice acting of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It took a while to add him to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, but since his arrival in early June 2022, playing as Turtle is much more immersive. It also contains multiple TMNT stages that should make any fan jump off their couch with joy. All three – Rooftop Rumble, Sewers Slam, and Technodrome Takedown – are reminiscent of the original cartoon and feature stellar backing tracks. All-Star Brawl is still getting new content, so hopefully it won’t be too long until Donatello and Raphael emerge from the sewers to join the fight.
two brawlhalla
Each Ninja Turtle is distinguished by the color of his mask and the weapon of his choice. If you prefer to stay away from enemies, you may be naturally drawn to Donatello’s bō. Or, if you prefer to get in close for quick, powerful strikes, then Raphael’s twin sai can win you over. These weapons make the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles perfect for fighting games, and Brawlhalla is one of many that features them.
Like Smite, Brawlhalla is known for its crossover events and cameos from different universes. Characters from Shovel Knight, The Walking Dead, and more are made available through special events, and developers often include a host of cosmetics and references alongside them. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles copy the move sets of other Brawlhalla characters, but still express more personality and eat more pizza than they do in Smite or Nickelodeon Kart Racers.
1 injustice 2
Between Mortal Kombat and Injustice, NetherRealm Studios has consistently released DLC characters after launch to keep you engaged with the title, while also extending the games’ longevity in the competitive scene. The DLC characters for the original Injustice kept things within the DC universe, minus a cameo from Scorpion. Injustice 2 ambitiously introduced the likes of Hellboy and the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to take on the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman, and it works much better than it should.
The Turtles act as a character slot on the fighter selection screen, and you can switch between all four by changing the default weapon in the Customize Characters tab. They have their own fighting styles and work together to take down anyone who gets in their way. They have hilarious openings and endings, they joke around with opponents, and if you play them in arcade mode, you can witness an ending that involves a radical pizza party with Harley Quinn. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles may not be the best fighters in Injustice 2, but their humor and unique playstyles certainly make them an essential addition to your roster.
