Crying Romance Limited Series right from the start has shot straight to the top of Netflix in its debut, eclipsing the most talked about true crime series and highly controversial serial killer bioseries. Starring Zoe Saldana, it has taken absolutely no time to get everyone out of the post-Halloween horror mood.

With an impressive 72 million hours viewed in its first week on Netflix, it surpassed The vigilant to the top spot by just 5 million hours viewed as Ryan Murphy continues to see his true crime series dominate the top ten. Dahmer has dropped to fifth place, which is still impressive considering the month that has passed since its release.

The novel’s author, Tembi Locke, even took part in the adaptation along with her sister Attica Locke, as they look to become Hollywood’s newest and best creator duo since The Wachowski Sisters. Interestingly, the star power of the cast relies heavily on Saldana, as all of her co-stars are mostly known for smaller soap operas and occasional small movie roles.
