Any comic book adaptation Sony is making is guaranteed to be viewed with a mixture of skepticism and suspicion, especially after the Morbius debacle that saw the movie trashed in post-production and become a tongue-in-cheek internet sensation before twice bombing in theaters, so kraven the hunter has a lot of work to do to win over skeptics.
That said, JC Chandor has proven to be an excellent director, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is a highly talented actor with plenty of blockbuster and effects experience, while the supporting cast boasts many heavy hitters, ranging from West Side Story Ariana DeBose’s breakup to Academy Award winner Russell Crowe.
And yet, the protagonist’s comments about Kraven as an environmentalist and protector of the natural world hardly went over well with comic book readers, even if he tried to take back his statement a bit. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Bullet train The star outlined why his upcoming solo show will stand out from the crowded group of superheroes.
“Kraven being filmed entirely on location will make all the difference. It’s going to add something really beautiful to our personal history. also sets Kraven aside from that Marvel stage look. It is important that this character is in the real world. It is important for the authenticity of the story. When you run barefoot through the streets, you take in those elements and play with them.”
kraven the hunter hits theaters exactly five months from today, and naysayers have already figured out that Sony is releasing a Marvel movie on Friday the 13th in the cinematic dump that tends to be January, it takes a lot of work to convince the public. it will be worth your time.
