In an exclusive interview with AARP, Sandler ditched his comedic side and turned to his emotional side, revealing that sessions with his therapist have given him a deeper appreciation not only of his own life and personal choices, but of work as well. of young actors and actresses around her, saying:
“Well, sometimes I talk to a psychiatrist. He has given me a plan. Sometimes just holding a sentence, taking a moment before saying something stupid. When I do that, I realize it wasn’t that important to say it in the first place, and I don’t spend two hours making everyone around me feel weird for no reason. I’m also better at appreciation. I appreciate other people’s talent now instead of competing with it, in every field, in every sport, in every part of show business. A lot of young comedians, a lot of the new cast of SNL, make me laugh now. I see someone and I’m like, ‘Man, they’re great. I never would have thought of that joke or that approach. Or my kids put on some new song or podcast and I’m like, ‘That’s great.’”
