THQ Nordic has revealed a new trailer for AEW: Fight Forever, showing off a brief portion of the game and some of the strange mini-games that players can take part in. If regular head stomps and mouth hook submissions aren’t enough, you’ll also be able to slam into steel chairs, trash cans, and baseball bats to help wear down your opponent long enough for the referee to count to three.
Beyond the standard match setup, you can play a dance mini-game where you guide multiple wrestlers into the ring using button prompts, and a baseball mini-game that turns one of the AEW performers into a giant ball that you can throw out. of the stadium.
First announced in 2020, AEW: Fight Forever is run by former WWE game developer Yuke’s. THQ Nordic did not confirm a release date for AEW: Fight Forever, but did mention that it is “coming soon” in the trailer.
On the other side of the wrestling video game landscape, Take-Two Interactive confirmed in its quarterly earnings report that WWE 2K23 was in development, along with other projects like GTA 6, NBA 2K23, and Kerbal Space Program 2.
AEW: Fight Forever will have a career mode, fighter customization, AEW-exclusive arenas, and multiple match types when it launches, including traditional singles matches, Casino Battle Royale, and an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch option. It will launch from the top rope to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
