Game News After Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, the Toys For Bob studio teases its new game
If it has actually existed for a while, the Toys For Bob studio has become widely known for its work on the Skylanders saga, but also the remakes of Spyro and Crash 4. The firm seems to be ready to reveal its all new project.
Ready to step up a gear?
Founded in 1989, the Toys For Bob studio is now part of furniture. He was at the origin of Pandemonium on behalf of Crystal Dynamics a long time ago, before being bought by Activision in 2005. It was under the control of the American publisher that the firm had the opportunity to relaunch Spyro under the aegis of the Skylanders saga in which they will have persevered with many opuses in the 2010s.
More recently, the company has achieved some nice stunts: it resurrected Spyro with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy trio of remakes in 2018, then the Crash Bandicoot saga with the long-requested fourth installment in 2020, It’s About Time.
Now, Toys For Bob is working on a still secret project, which has just been teased in a rather evocative tweet: the studio lists all of its games created there, with an eighteenth place decorated with question marks.
Thanks for playing along, how many did you guess correctly? Ya know, it’s pretty convenient we have more wall space to cover… 😉 pic.twitter.com/g4A5hkAHk3

A new game in the Crash Bandicoot universe?
Inevitably, bets are off and rumors are rife. Speaking of hallway noise, there’s been talk for years now of a certain “Crash Bandicoot Wumpa League” seemingly in development. This one would be akin to a multiplayer battle game, maybe a new Crash Team Racing kart game. The insider Jze Corden rightly claimed that it would be unveiled this summer.
One can also wonder if, having had the opportunity to make Crash Bandicoot 4, Toys For Bob would not have the opportunity to deliver a brand new Spyro game, those who master the foundations of the saga well. Then, of course, we can wonder about the possibility of having a whole new franchise.
Maybe gamescom 2022, which will start on August 24, will give us a concrete answer.
