The classic Sonic the Hedgehog games featured in Sonic Origins originally came out during a time when it was common for developers to implement cheat codes into their games. While players could definitely take advantage of them, the main reason many of them were included was so that the developers could more easily try the game without having to overcome the challenges they were creating. In Sonic Origins, many of those classic cheat codes have also returned with a couple of new ones. Here are all the cheat codes in Sonic Origins.
All cheat codes in Sonic Origins
Unfortunately, it seems that there are no currently working cheat codes in Sonic CD. For all other games, you must first activate the level select code on that game’s title screen and then enter the appropriate number combination in that game’s sound check section. After entering the code, you should hear a sound. Select a stage and the cheat should take effect.

- Level selection: up, down, left, right, A
- Debug mode: 01, 09, 09, 01, 00, 06, 02, 03
- All Chaos Emeralds – 04, 01, 02, 06
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Cheat Codes
- Level selection: Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A
- Debug mode: 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02, 04
- All Chaos Emeralds – 04, 01, 02, 06
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Cheat Codes and Knuckles
- Level Select: Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up, then select Sound Check in Competition
- Debug mode: 01, 09, 09, 04, 01, 00, 01, 08
- All Chaos Emeralds – 04, 01, 02, 06 (enter twice for Hyper form)
Regardless of whether you use cheats or not, there are plenty of achievements and trophies to unlock in Sonic Origins. You can also listen to all the cool music included in the game, though not the original Sonic 3 tunes.
