Another content update is on the way for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which just wrapped up its spring Ostara Festival. All that is known about it so far is that it adds a new buildable structure to the Ravensthorpe settlement, the armory, and that it is, for the time being, the final item on the current content roadmap for the world game. opened.
“Something interesting is coming soon,” the official Assassin’s Creed account tweeted, along with an emoji of crossed swords. the tweet included a quick video clip showing the transformation of the armory from a log cabin in the woods outside Ravensthorpe.
Ubisoft has said that the armory will add a gear loading system similar to the one added to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey around the release of the Fate of Atlantis DLC, with update 1.20. That system allowed players to spend in-game currency to unlock loadout slots, which could be useful for managing Valhalla’s growing roster of gear – there’s a lot of gear to discover right now, after three DLCs and a main campaign of weight.
In Valhalla, it will work a bit differently: inside the armory, you will be able to place up to five display mannequins. Once you have placed a set of gear on a mannequin, Eivor will be able to switch to that gear from anywhere in the world. Loadouts include weapons, armor, and abilities, so you can quickly switch to a suitable build as you move between activities in the wilds of medieval England and Svartalfheim.
