The Japanese studio is looking for a character and mecha designer, and players have been quick to associate him with the saga.
While From Software has established itself as the developer that expanded the genre of souls, there are not a few players who love the study for the Armored Core saga. We haven’t heard anything official about this mecha franchise for years, but we’ve already seen enough clues and job offers to get excited about a possible return. And now, the community comes alive again with a new job published on the company’s official website.
Looking for an artist to be in charge of character and mecha related designsAs initially pointed out by Tech4gamers, From Software is looking for an artist who is “in charge of a wide range of designs related to characters and mecha”. Beyond this, the developer expands the description of the position with a specific example: “creation of proposals for visual images and setting drawings related to characters (people, creatures), mecha, objects (weapons, equipment, etc.) online with the game concept”.
Although From Software does not specify that this job offer is linked to an Armored Core game, it should be remembered that the developer does not have other mecha franchises. In addition, Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed in 2016 that one of the studio’s projects was focused on this saga and complemented his statements by stating that “there is no option not to develop a new Armored Core video game”.
In short, we have good reason to expect news about the Armored Core franchise, although it is important to note that From Software he has not finalized his plans, in case you continue standing. Despite this, in January we had the opportunity to see some leaks with unpublished images and details about a project set in this world of mecha.
