With Bat girl Confirmed to never see the light of day, DC fans are desperate to get a glimpse of the movie that could have been. As everyone now knows, Warner Bros. has chosen not to release the potential HBO Max original despite the movie, since mrs wonder directors Adil el Arbi and Bilall Fallah, having already finished production. At least then, people are interested in the script appearing online.
So when the Twitter account @BatgirlFilm appeared to leak a scene from the film on social media, the tweet quickly went viral. Until people took a closer look at the alleged script excerpt and realized something wasn’t quite kosher here, as the dialogue seemed too much on the Morbius side of things to be believable.
Sharing the scene along with a behind-the-scenes snapshot of Grace’s Barbara Gordon and Jacob Scipio, who would play a character named Anthony Bressi, the scene “reveals” that Babs would have her own catchphrase in the film: “It’s Battin’ time!” ”
Yeah, this is a classic example of the “you had us in the first half, you ain’t gonna lie” genre of hit tweets. Kudos to the OP for going to the effort to make this look so believable, but we’re pretty sure this isn’t the genuine article. Although reports may point to Bat girl receiving disappointing test screenings, any crossover with Morbin’ Time is too wild to be true… right?
While this leak may be a bust, fans remain determined to get the movie by any means necessary (and they really mean it). Perhaps the actual script will make its way online one day, allowing us to get a glimpse of what it would have been like.
However, the odds have to be good that it would have been much better than Morbiuseven though Sony released it twice in theaters and WB didn’t even allow Bat girl to fall into the transmission. Unfortunately, Babs will never get her (hitting) time in the spotlight.
