Game News Before Marvel’s Spider-Man, the PC offers an indie nugget from the PlayStation 4
For some time now, PC gamers have had the opportunity to try out the great classics of the PlayStation galaxy. After Horizon and God of War, fans of the keyboard/mouse duo will soon have the pleasure of trying out the excellent Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales. But the heroes of the comics are not the only ones to join the stronghold of the PC!
From PlayStation 4 to Steam
Quietly, a small indie title from the PlayStation 4 toy library snuck up on our machines equipped with graphics cards. Released on the old Sony console in 2014 (but also PlayStation 3 and PS Vita), Hohokum is an experience worth seeing! The result of a collaboration between artist Richard Hogg, the Ghostly record company and the Honeyslug studio, this work puts you in control of an ophioid creature, a cross between a snake and a… kite. The object of the game is to explore seventeen levels without there being any objectives to accomplish.
A hovering experience
What makes the strength of Hohokum is obviously its unique universe à la LocoRoco and its successful marriage between immersive visuals and hard-hitting music. Its soundtrack is truly one of its great strengths and once embarked on this artistic journey, it is very difficult to let go of our funny avatar. Thanks to his kite, the player can try all kinds of interactions and transport different individuals while exploring these strange lands. It has been available since July 28 on PC and if you haven’t, it’s a reminder that can be used as it distills a special atmosphere. When it was released, it also received rather positive ratings (14/20 in our columns) and seeing it open up to the PC universe is an excellent thing. For nine euros, this experience is worth the detour!
