Looking for the best PPSh loadout in Warzone? The PPSh SMG has been a staple of Black Ops games, so it was only a matter of time before it showed up in Cold War. This weapon also appears in Call of Duty Vanguard, featuring a second PPSh in Warzone.
The PPSh wasn’t great when it was first released compared to the rest of Warzone’s best SMGs, but the developers made sure it became a meta weapon. So what makes this SMG so special? The PPSh is an excellent close to medium range option thanks to its high bullet speed and low recoil stats. When you combine all of these important stats together, this makes the PPSh the perfect secondary weapon for most loadouts.
Although there are two versions of this weapon, if you play Rebirth Island or Fortune’s Keep, you may want to stick with the original weapon as it seems to be stronger. Whether you’re playing Caldera or Rebirth Island, this SMG is sure to rip through enemies if they get too close.
The best Call of Duty Warzone PPSh (Vanguard) loadout is:
- Muzzle: recoil booster
- Barrel: Kovalevskaya 230mm B03P
- Optical: slate reflector
- Values: custom empress
- under the barrel: M1941 hand stop
- Magazine: Gorenko 71 7.62mm round magazines
- Ammunition: hollow point
- rear grip: dotted grip
- Perk: Sign
- Benefit 2: Fast
To increase the PPSh’s time to kill speed, we opted for the Recoil Booster muzzle which sacrifices accuracy for a faster rate of fire. As for the barrel, the Kovalevskaya 230mm B03P makes some weight adjustments to improve the hip-firing performance of the weapon. This accessory improves the PPSh’s hipfire accuracy, hipfire recoil recovery, recoil recovery, and rate of fire. It’s not without some downsides though, with recoil control and aiming down sights speed taking a slight hit.
This SMG excels at close range encounters, making the Slate Reflector optic an easy choice. Recoil is heavier than we’d expect for a close range weapon – choose the Empress Custom stock to improve the PPSh’s recoil control, recoil resistance, accuracy and recoil recovery. Unfortunately, this stock does slow your mobility, but it doesn’t hurt enough to mess up your movement speed.
Another recoil fix, the M1941 Hand Stop Lower Barrel decreases the weapon’s hip-firing accuracy in exchange for recoil control and accuracy. Large mags are paramount in Warzone, so the Gorenko 71 7.62mm Round mags are the best choice for the PPSh. These clips reduce the weight of the weapon, which affects aiming down sights, reload speed, and movement speed. Choose the Hollow Point ammo type to increase the damage it deals to limbs, though this reduces the damage range.
The stippled grip is essential to improve the recoil recovery of the weapon and the recoil of the initial shot without introducing any negative effects. For perks, you should go for Steady, which improves your movement speed while aiming down sights, and Quick to increase your running speed.
The best equipment in Call of Duty Warzone PPSh (Black Ops Cold War) is:
- GRU Suppressor
- 15.7” workgroup
- snake wrap
- Spetsnaz Drum 71 Rnd
- raider stock
The GRU Suppressor muzzle not only comes with the all-important sound suppression buff, but the PPSh also gets a buff to its effective damage range and bullet speed. The suppressor doesn’t stop there, as it even improves the weapon’s vertical recoil control.
As for the barrel, the Task Force 15.7” is definitely the right choice if you can handle some recoil. The 15.7” Task Force impairs the weapon’s vertical and horizontal recoil control, but greatly improves effective damage range and bullet velocity. You can change this to the 14.3” extended barrel which does not affect recoil and slightly improves the bullet speed of the weapon, at the cost of not improving effective damage range.
Cold War SMGs have generous magazine sizes compared to their Modern Warfare counterparts, but we’re not complaining. Equip the Spetsnaz 71 Rnd Drum to ensure your weapon is constantly stocked with bullets. This has a negative impact on the SMG’s aim time, though it seems like a worthwhile trade-off as the larger magazine can be vital in fights.
To negate the Spetsnaz 71 Rnd Drum debuff, the Serpent Wrap rear grip is perfect as it greatly improves aiming down sights. If you’re okay with fewer bullets, the 55 Rnd Drum gives you slightly less reload speed reduction and no ADS time penalty. Finally, the Raider Stock increases the PPSh’s sprint time to fire, ADS fire movement speed, and walk aim movement speed, all at the cost of hip fire accuracy, which we’ll happily cover for you. improve the mobility of the weapon.
Once you’ve managed to build this Warzone PPSh loadout, it’s time to pick a secondary weapon. We highly recommend using the best Pelington 703 loadout as this sniper rifle can easily pick off enemies from a distance.
