In today’s recap, we tell you about Kelly Reilly’s bittersweet Instagram post and a little bit of information about the character of Lainey Wilson, who will be singing her songs and melting hearts when she enters the ranch later this year.
So take the work week blues and forget about it because we’re headed to the ranch.
Kelly Reilly says goodbye to Yellowstone, for now
Kelly Reilly, who plays the always fiery and always complex Beth Dutton, says a fond goodbye to Montana, at least for now. In a beautiful shot from the woods near Yellowstone’s Dutton Ranch, Reilly shared a sweet sendoff alongside an image sure to take your breath away.
The contrast of the trees and grass with the stunning colors of the deer staring back at you is the kind of picture you frame and put on a wall. The moment is glorious to watch on Instagram, and we can’t imagine what it was like in person.
“Beautiful sendoff in the woods on my last day in Montana this year, see you later folks x”
Reilly says it’s goodbye for this year and promises to see everyone again later, so fans are relieved it’s not a long goodbye. However, with the multifaceted history that yellow stone it is revealing, we all know that no one is safe. From the mouth of Taylor Sheridan to Reilly herself, fans are aware that this season aims, above all others, to shock and surprise fans.
Beth has survived explosions, near-death attacks, and heartbreak that is unbearable for most, so we anticipate her journey in Yellowstone to be a long one. After a busy and exciting season, she’s glad she’s taking some time to rest.
Here’s our Beth Dutton, and may we all channel her this weekend!
Lainey Wilson reveals more about her role in the series
Lainey Wilson is one of the new additions to yellow stone, who will make his grand entrance during the fifth season. Her character, Abby, is a musician and has revealed that she feels lucky to bring her to life. So what’s so special about the character? Well, Wilson says that she’s basically playing herself and, furthermore, she’s singing her own songs. She’s entering a world that she’s been a fan of for a long time and she’s doing it her way; that has to be one hell of an experience.
Speaking with Storme Warren on Sirius XM’s The Highway, Wilson explained more about landing the part of Abby and making it to the ranch.
“Taylor Sheridan called me in February; I’ve known him for three or four years, she called her and just said, ‘I want to create a character specifically for you.’ He was like, ‘I don’t want you to change anything, I just want you to get up, wear what you wear, sing your songs and be you,’ and I was like, ‘I can do that. Yes.'”
Wilson adding his style to yellow stone will enhance the series, and fans of the country music singer are eager to see what story she will bring to the table. She says it’s the “perfect role” for her starting out and that it’s going to be amazing.
Of course, Wilson was asked if he drives someone to the train station, kills someone, or kisses someone; While he answered “not yet” to the first few questions, the idea of romance may not be off the table just yet.
“I don’t kiss anyone,” Wilson said with a sly edge to his voice. Who could be a suitor for Wilson’s Abby? Only time will tell.
It’s cowboy camp time for 1923
Fans are eager to find out more about the upcoming prequel to yellow stone, 1923and with exciting cast announcements being made in the last week, it’s bound to be amazing.
Sebastian Roché was one of the most recent announcements added to the cast, and he’s ready to hop on Yellowstone. In a post on Instagram, Roche notes that cowboy camp is happening now.
Cowboy camping is nothing new for those in the yellow stone universe. It’s the experience for newcomers to learn the ropes from seasoned ranchers and cowboys. The images Roche shared are stunning, showing the beautiful Montana countryside among what he calls “great company.”
Luke Grimes talked about cowboy camp in an interview with THR and describes it as follows:
“Yeah, I think it’s been every season. There may be one where we didn’t do it, but we did it last year and we’re doing it again this year. It has evolved over the years. The first was a trip on a mule with some of the actors traveling kilometers through the interior of the country. I don’t think we could do that every time just because it turned out to be such a challenge to organize that and make sure we all got back safely, being the urbanites that we all were at the time. And this year I think we’re going to Texas to Taylor’s ranch to do something. But like I said, it’s been different every year, so I don’t know what to expect other than it’s great to get back in the saddle, to use a bad pun, with all the other actors and the wranglers and putting everyone in the same page. It makes everything run like a well-oiled machine, I guess.”
As much as it’s meant to be a teachable moment, it’s clear that it’s as much about bonding as it is learning to ride. You need to get to know each other to build the confidence to commit to some of the series’ intense scenes, and there’s no better way to get to know each other!
Here’s cowboy camp, beautiful Montana scenery, and Lainey Wilson bringing herself to yellow stone.
