Having a ship makes moving around the new Sunken Sea biome in Core Guardian much easier, since without one you will have to place bridges as you go. If you’ve gotten to the point where you have access to the Sunken Sea, in theory, becoming a ship should be a piece of cake.
How to make a ship in Core Keeper
You need a special workbench to craft your own vessel, specifically and unsurprisingly called the Boat workbench. To make and place a ship workbench, you must first have a scarlet workbench and a table saw.
If you’ve progressed to the point of breaking through the outer shell, you probably already have a scarlet workbench ready to go back to base. But if not, you need a iron workbenchIt requires the following materials for its elaboration:
- 10 tin bars
- 15 iron bars
- 25 scarlet bars
You will also need a table saw to make Planks, which will be needed for both the Ship’s Workbench and the Ship itself. You may create one using an electronic table using some basic materials:
- 8 Wood
- 5 copper bars
- 5 iron bars
With these stations made and in place, you can get started on your boat workbench. In Scarlet Workbench, you will need the following materials to make the Boat Workbench:
- 50 planks
- 15 scarlet bars
You are almost there! The last essential step is make the boat same on the workbench. You need the following materials to craft your own ship:
- 80 planks
- 50 scarlet bars
- 20 mechanical parts
The hardest material to get is Scarlet Bars, as 50 can be pretty hard to come by. Mechanical parts are found in destructible items in almost every biome, but you can also buy them from the Caveling Merchant once you’ve activated all the statues around the Core.
That’s all you need to know about how to make your own marine (cave?) Core Guardian as of this update. There is another Ship, the Speeder, which requires a large amount of Sunken Sea materials to craft. If you found this guide helpful, check out our other Core Guardian guides.
