For all those who have been waiting 15 years to see Trick or treat on the big screen, your time is coming.
Trick or treat introduced the world to the creepiest kid this side of Chucky: Sam. Wearing a burlap sack and an orange jumpsuit, Sam shows up whenever someone breaks a Halloween tradition. Since then, he has become an icon of modern horror, and there are sure to be plenty of burlap sacks and orange pajamas this Halloween.
The film had a very limited theatrical release in 2007, mostly relegated to festivals. Two years later, it was available direct-to-video, which doesn’t usually bode well for movies, but over the years, it’s achieved cult status. With that rise in popularity, it has become a staple of horror cosplayers everywhere, and there have been action figures, comics, and even a section of Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights. In the last 10 years, it was reported that a sequel was in the works, but that talk fell through.
While this may not be the sequel you’ve been wanting, the horror movie will get its brief break in theaters. As part of Regal Cinema’s Halloween promotion, Trick or treat They will join Hallowe’en, scream 2Y The missing child in participating theaters.
