Cyberpunk 2077 to get Nvidia DLSS3 and Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode support

Cyberpunk 2077 is upping its visuals with a future update that will bring in the latest Nvidia features, including Ray Tracing – Overdrive Mode and Nvidia DLSS3, both of which are available only on the RTX 40 series.

As Nvidia announced, the RTX 40 series will feature the third iteration of Deep Learning Super Sampling. DLSS3 can boost performance up to four times compared to normal rendering, meaning gamers get better quality graphics at higher frame rates.

Playing now: Cyberpunk 2077 with NVIDIA DLSS 3 and Ray Tracing: Overdrive

Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode essentially increases the fidelity of reflections, highlights, and shadows. According to Nvidia’s blog, Ray Tracing: Overdrive mode in Cyberpunk 2077 will cause ray traced lighting and reflections to bounce multiple times, creating a “more immersive global lighting.”

Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t the only game that will enable DLSS3. There are 35 other titles, including Microsoft Simulator and The Witcher. According to Nvidia, the first visual updates to support DLSS3 will be released in October 2022.
