In Pokémon Go the event will take place on November 1. 10:00 a.m. to 2 Nov. 20:00 (local time), the Day of the Dead is a festival celebrated in Mexico and other parts of the Americas to honor the life and memory of friends and family who have passed away.

Ancient Aztec traditions said that the souls of our loved ones never leave, but travel to different worlds and return to us at special times of the year. Since then, the people who celebrate the Day of the Dead prepare for the party: they prepare the favorite dishes of their ancestors, fill the streets with cempasúchila petals, light candles and incense, and enjoy a celebration full of music, colors, flowers and flavors. . . .
