Many uncertainties for the next films
Since the Justice League incident in 2017, nothing has gone right for DC’s superheroes. The studios seem to no longer be able to coordinate all this little world and chain strategic errors. Batman and Superman simply disappeared, when they should have been the figures of this universe, like Captain America and Iron Man at Marvel. DC and Warner Bros. are coming to cancel the release of the movie Batgirl while this one was ready, and the future of the next feature films seems very uncertain.
The Flash may never come out him too, because of the scandals surrounding his main actor, Ezra Miller. The Shazam movies! 2 and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom could also be slightly postponed. The only survivor in this list is Black Adam, worn by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and whose release is still scheduled for this fall. The chaos seems total at DC. And yet, the studios are said to be working on a cinematic release plan similar to that of the MCU…
A 10-year plan, “MCU” style
the new head of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslavrevealed that the DC Universe was at the very top of the studios list and they have intend to use the same method as Marvel to create their cinematic universe. DC’s great superheroes have a ten year plan ahead of them to experience fascinating adventures. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman are always the big figures that Warner wants to highlight at DC. That said, big changes are to be expected, with David Zaslav having mentioned “a reset“, we can’t help but think of a form of reboot for the DC Extended Universe.
We have reset everything: we have restructured the company and we will focus on that. There’s a team that’s going to come up with a ten-year plan that’s going to be all about DC. It’s quite similar to the structure that Alan Horn and Bob Iger put in place very effectively with Kevin Feige at Disney. We believe we can build a stronger, more successful long-term business for DC. And it is in this objective that we will focus on quality. We’re not going to release movies until they’re ready, in order to make them as perfect as possible.

While waiting to learn more, the next DC-stamped film is Black Adam, which is scheduled for release in October 19, 2022.
