Dead by Daylight Season 25 is titled “Project W” and focuses on Resident Evil’s Ada Wong, Rebecca Chambers, and of course Wesker himself. While the new trailer featured our new DBD killer in style, some noted some inconsistencies with a previous cutscene, prompting a response from Behavior Interactive.
Resident Evil returns to Dead by Daylight in style, adding another round of fully licensed characters to Behavior Interactive’s asymmetric horror game.
With the addition of Leon Scott Kennedy and Jill Valentine in Episode 20 along with the infamous Nemesis, we see Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers join the Survivor roster, while Albert Wesker appears as the new Killer.
As players got closer and closer to the edge of their seats during the Chapter 25 trailer, some noted that there is a huge inconsistency between the previous series of cutscenes and the new trailer.
Reddit was quick to pick up on the fact that, in the trailer for Chapter 20 starring Meg Thomas and Nemesis, the twisted creature throws her into a burning car after suffocating her. Later, Raccoon City’s finest, Leon, takes her pulse and shakes his head, implying that she succumbed to her injuries.
The season 25 trailer, however, shows Rebecca carrying an injured (but not dead) Meg to the Raccoon City police station, where Ada helps them escape from Wesker.
“Leon, how are you so incompetent?” one fan jokes, while another Question in the official announcement tweet “Didn’t Meg die in the last scene?”
Behavior immediately responded with a joke of his own, writing “years of panic: sprinting into trees have hardened his skull to the point where he survived the impact”, referring to the fact that the character’s entire identity is about living. fast (and, well, dropping dead).
“So what I’m taking away from this is that Leon doesn’t really know how to take his pulse and I was just hoping he would look like he knew what he was doing,” one replies, while another asks “can I teach myself how to do this? ? ?”
We’re expecting Dead By Daylight Chapter 25: Project W to release in early August, but Behavior Interactive also announced a slew of new games alongside the next installment in the DBD story. Check out our breakdown of the mysterious Project S and preview of the Meet Your Maker game.
