Dead by Daylight and For Honor don’t seem like the most natural companions, as Behavior’s multiplayer horror game and Ubisoft’s action-adventure come from entirely different backgrounds and genres. But according to a leaker who correctly anticipated the release of Wesker and the DBD Resident Evil crossover, the new Dead by Daylight map could be inspired by the 2017 Ubi action game.
DBD Leaks, who in the past accurately revealed, ahead of time, that Sheva and Carlos would be available as Legendary skins, and that Wesker would be called The Mastermind and use perks like Terminus and Awakened Awareness, is now suggesting that the next chapter in Dead by Daylight It will feature an entirely new kingdom and a new map inspired by Ubisoft’s For Honor, the period sword and shield game where you battle samurai and vikings.
On the surface, this seems like an odd combination, given that For Honor isn’t really a horror game by any means. But if you look back at Ubisoft’s environments, all spades, heads on sticks, and raging fires, a crossover of For Honor and Dead by Daylight starts to make more sense. There might even be a chance for some For Honor-themed assassins.

“What will the monster be then?” asks a DBD player on Reddit. “A great black knight with flames?” “The leading theory is Apollyon,” replies another, “the main villain of the [For Honor] history mode. While For Honor doesn’t really fit DBD, it specifically does.” Adding credence to the For Honor rumours, in 2021 For Honor held a Halloween event that allowed players to use DBD’s The Trapper as an AI companion in Dominion mode. So it’s possible that For Honor will now cross over to the other side and come to Dead by Daylight in time for Halloween 2022.
It’s interesting to speculate where Apollyon, or whoever, will show up in our tier list of all DBD assassins. Otherwise, while we wait for more news on the possible crossover, you might want to try some of the other best multiplayer games, or maybe some of the other best action-adventure games on PC.
