You may be surprised to find out that Fire Emblem Engage it has multiplayer features considering the series has historically been a single player experience. but who Engagethere is not only multiplayer but also cooperative, although not through the story of the game.
How to play cooperative multiplayer in Fire Emblem Engage
While you can activate the online features feature when you first launch the game, you will not have the opportunity to play multiplayer in Fire Emblem Engage until you finish Chapter 6that will unlock the Tower of Trials.
Tower of Trials has three modes: Relay Trials, Outrealm Trials, and Tempest Trials. The first two unlock when you gain access to the tower, but Trials of the Tempest unlock after you finish Chapter 11. That’s fine for multiplayer purposes, since only Trials of Relay and Trials of Outrealm are multiplayer Y only Relay Trials allow online co-op.
Relay Trials is the cooperative multiplayer option, allowing you and another player to take turns using the same forces to take out the AI. This is the only online cooperative found in Fire Emblem Engage, since the Outrealm Trials instead serve you to create scenarios and share them online, as well as download them from other players. Both features require an active Nintendo Online account, although Tempest Trials does not.
Fire Emblem EngageThe multiplayer co-op can take a while to unlock, but it’s worth it for some more varied gameplay options. Take a look at our Fire Emblem Engage guides for more information and tips on the game.
