news culture Dragon Ball Super: the series back?
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has not yet been released in France, but the film has almost reached one million admissions since its release in Japan on June 11, 2022. The studios did not wait long to announce that a new project for the saga is already underway.
A mysterious new project
We’re not done with animation projects yet derived from Akira Toriyama’s famous manga ! In any case, this was entrusted to Akio Iyoku, one of the managers of the Dragon Ball Super license, to the Japanese magazine V Jump. He revealed that a new Dragon Ball Super project is already underwayspecifying however that we would not see it anytime soon, Super Hero having already required five years of work at the studios.
This is very good news for fans of the franchise, although it is not yet known if the project in question is a third Super movie or a new series. We can also hope that in the case of a series, it is quite simply a continuation of the anime that was put on hiatus in 2018. Other narrative arcs have been published in the meantime, their adaptation could revive the series.
Dragon Ball Super
Second Dragon Ball Super movie and 22nd film in the Dragon Ball franchise, Super Hero is directed by Tetsuro Kodama, who previously worked on Dragon Ball Super: Broly. It is also the fourth Dragon Ball film scripted by its creator himself, Akira Toriyama himself. The plot of Super Hero focuses on the characters of Gohan and his mentor Piccolo. They notably face two ultimate cyborgs, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, the new villains leading the Red Ribbon Armywhich Son Goku had defeated as a child.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero still does not have a French release datebut we can expect it for the summer holidays, if we rely on the broadcast dates of other countries such as August 19, 2022 in the United States, Canada or United Kingdom.
