Prey it is the first film to have a full Comanche language dub, and many English-speakers choose to watch the Comanche version instead of the English one.
“We’re seeing Prey on Hulu with Comanche dub and rule,” @lolacoaster tweeted. “If you are going to see PREYDo yourself a favor and check out the Comanche dub,” @golikehellmachi added. “It’s very well done and there’s no reason to watch it in English unless you hate subtitles.”

East Predator The prequel is set on the Comanche Nation in the 18th century and features dialogue in both English and Comanche. The original plan was for the film to be exclusively Comanche. “Originally, when the movie was written, the first script I had, at the top it said ‘All dialogue in Comanche,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my God, yeah,'” recalled Comanche producer and cultural adviser Jhane Myers to Digital Spy.
Executives committed to a Comanche dub, which Myers still found incredible, as it marks the first time a film has been shot entirely in their language. He also cited the importance of a popular platform like Disney Plus, which presents the film in other countries, adopting the Comanche dubbing:
“There’s never been a new movie released, like this one on Disney Plus, that has the option to watch it in Comanche because it’s never happened for any native language.”
However, the dubbing is not perfect. Users have complained that the English subtitles are difficult to follow:
