A new clip from do not worry honey has something very Black Swan vibrations with Florence Pugh watch some spooky things happen while she’s in a ballet dance class.
Pugh plays Alice Chambers in the film, a 1950s housewife living in a seemingly idyllic utopian town that seems to be hiding some dark secrets. Her husband, Harry Styles’ Jack Chambers, is loyal to the company that created the community, headed by charismatic leader, Chris Pine’s Frank.
In the clip, we see Alice distracted during her dance routine in class, obsessing over her own reflection. Instead of seeing her own image of her staring at her, the mirror shows another person, Kiki Layne’ Margaret, matching Alice’s movements. Suddenly, Margaret seems to be banging her head against the mirror from the inside as if she wants to break free, which causes the glass to shatter, or so it seems. When others in the class begin to question what has happened to Alice, she suddenly looks back and realizes that it was apparently all in her head.
Although there has been a lot of celebrity gossip and some controversy surrounding the film’s production, and it boasts a disconcertingly low Rotten Tomatoes score of 31 percent for how good the trailers look, we’re still interested in watch the movie based on intriguingly terrifying clips like this one. And with the kind of star power behind it, including Pugh’s performance that has been praised by many critics, that gives us even more reason to watch it.
