With the busy month of September drawing to a close, publishers are dazzling with compelling games on the Switch eShop even in these closing days. Dropsy is the latest, point-and-click adventure that comes on the heels of the most anticipated point-and-click adventure of the last decade or more, and from the same publisher (Devolver Digital).
We don’t envy Dropsy after Return to Monkey Island so closely. There’s another cool point-and-click launch The same day one that we feel equally bad about, one that we’re already working on a hotfix for, in fact. Unfortunately, our resources aren’t infinite, and since Dropsy is a known quantity (it launched on Steam in 2015), something has to give.
Believe us, no one is more aware of the games than we are No reviewing what we are! In the first nine months of 2022, we published over 200 reviews and do our best to strike a balance between covering the big hitters, hunting down smaller “niche” titles, and highlighting the ever-expanding mid-tier before they hit. get swept up in the next big announcement, event or launch.
It’s been a while since our last Reader Recommendations article, and with so many games each week, and a proportional number slipping through our network, we invite you once again to submit nominations for another round of ‘Games We Missed’.
As before, we’re looking for some very short insights into Switch games that we didn’t get to review on Nintendo Life. We’ll read through all the nominations and pick our favorites in an article showcasing a dozen (or more, depending on the response) of their recommendations.
Below are the guidelines on how to submit your recommendations. Please read them carefully if you want to see their entries included in the feature:
- 100 word limit – Be brief! A history of the genre and a deep dive into each mechanic is unnecessary. Focus on what the game is about, what sets it apart from other games, and why you enjoyed it.
- One ticket per game – Feel free to submit your thoughts on multiple games, but there’s no need to duplicate.
- Choose only games that we have not reviewed on the site – To check if there is a Nintendo Life review, simply type the name of the game in the search box at the top of the page (look for the magnifying glass icon in the top left corner) and click on the game page that appears. If there isn’t a review, you’re good to go!
How to submit a recommendation
- Head over to Nintendo Life’s contact page and select the subject “Change eShop Hidden Gems” from the dropdown menu (it’s already done for you in the link above). Type your name, email, and beautifully crafted message in the box provided, hit send, and Bob is your uncle!
Any questions, feel free to ask below. If you don’t feel comfortable submitting a full recommendation, feel free to leave suggestions to jog other people’s memories below as well.
Also, remember that we will not review these games, but we can’t wait to show off any gems we may have missed. We can’t wait to see what you recommend!
