French Days 2022: a great offer on the PC Gamer with RTX 3060 and Ryzen 5

News good deal French Days 2022: a great offer on the PC Gamer with RTX 3060 and Ryzen 5

The French Days officially start tomorrow, but many online retailers have decided to get a head start by offering products at knockdown prices. Today, we are talking about a nice assembled PC from Cybertek, with an ideal configuration for FHD gaming, all at a rather reasonable price thanks to the discount that is currently in effect. We explain everything to you here.

French Days 2022: the PC Gamer with RTX 3060 and Ryzen 5 displayed at 1079€!

Cybertek has therefore decided to begin hostilities a little ahead of the official start date of the French Days 2022. The PC Gamer mounted in a pretty compact tower therefore sees its price drop rather significantly, especially if we compare it to the launch price. Indeed, this product was displayed at the price of 1449€. Of course, time has passed, and as we can see on the reseller’s page, the price observed over the last 30 days is therefore €1,249, which is already more interesting.

But Cybertek makes a new discount which increases the receipt to € 1079 in total. Barely more than 1000€ for a PC capable of playing serenely in FHD, it’s rather a good deal. Especially since it is a PC built with standard components, which means that you will have no problem upgrading it later by changing certain components.

French Days 2022: A PC Gamer perfect for gaming in 1080p with its RTX 3060!

With its mini-tower format, the Insurgent PC isn’t going to take up all the space on (or under) your desk, and yet it displays a rather attractive configuration. In a box signed M.Red we will find an ASUS Prime B550M Micro-ATX motherboard equipped with Wi-Fi. This PCB houses an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor well known to gamers for its excellent price-performance ratio.

This chip offers 6 cores and 12 threads, with a frequency of 3.6Ghz which can go up to 4.2Ghz in boost mode. We also have 16MB of L3 cache memory, but the heating is contained with a TDP of only 65Watts. To shed so little thermal energy, you don’t need a monster, which prompted Cybertek to opt for a modest Raijintek Eleos 12 EVO RGB cooler equipped with a 120mm fan, also equipped with RGB lighting.

RAM level, we are entitled to 16GB of DDR4 3200 from the Fury range from Kingston. The American memory giant also provides storage with a 500 GB M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD. It’s not huge, but be aware that it is entirely possible to improve this component, or add a other SSD via SATA ports.

Finally, your games will be powered by an Nvidia RTX 3060 from ASUS stocks. It is more precisely the model ASUS Dual RTX3060 012G V2. With its large heatsink and its pair of axial fans, you should be able to enjoy all your games without heating problems, and especially with relatively little noise. It should also be possible to indulge in a little overclocking, in order to gain a little more performance.

The only downside is that this PC comes without an operating system. You will therefore have to install the one of your choice, whether it is Linux or Windows. By the way, if you don’t have a key (or no key is associated with your Windows account), you can get Windows 11

Is it better to buy AMD or Intel?

This question would have been asked more than five years ago, the answer would have been simple and straightforward: Intel. but since the release of the Ryzen range, AMD has returned to the race in the gaming CPU market with a hyper-complete and very qualitative range. From now on, the differences between the products of one and the other are quite tenuous, and the choice will generally be made on the price of the chips at the time of purchase, as well as on that of the immediate peripherals, such as for example motherboards. Similarly, if Intel chips are generally a little faster in game, they lose this advantage in application. You will therefore have to choose according to the use you have of your PC.

What are the most powerful processors?

Whether it surprises you or not, the most powerful chips are not intended for the general public or even gamers at all, as video games traditionally do not use a lot of processor resources. The most powerful chips are therefore to be found in the Xeon ranges at Intel, and Threadripper at AMD. If these processors can of course be used for video games, it is not their primary function, and you will pay a very high price for something that you will not use in the end. These CPUs also have a fairly dissuasive price, with prices that can exceed 5000€.

What are the best graphics cards for gaming?

If you want to play the latest video games in the best possible conditions, you have to turn to the GeForce RTX 3000 from Nvidia and Radeon RX 6000 from AMD. On the GeForce side, the RTX 3070 offers the best compromise between performance, consumption and price. It allows you to play very comfortably in 1440p (2560×1440 pixels) and can even provide 4K on games that are a little less greedy. Like all GeForce RTX cards, the 3070 also takes advantage of Ray-Tracing and DLSS in compatible games. On the Radeon side, our preference goes to the RX 6800XT, a card that provides largely in 1440p, but also in 4K and which also offers compatibility with Ray-Tracing.

What are the fastest SSDs?

The fastest SSDs can reach up to 7000 MB/s read and just over 6000 MB/s write. These models are NVMe type and will connect to the M.2 port of your motherboard. Currently, some models are capable of reaching these speeds: we can mention the Samsung 980 Pro, the WD Black SN850, or the Corsair MP600 Pro.
