News event French eSports at the Elysée on the eve of the Trackmania Cup
On the sidelines of the famous French eSport competition, the Trackmania Cup, the Elysée has invited many eSport players in France.
The president of the Republic Emmanuel Macron officially received several eSport players in France today, at the eve of the Trackmania Cup.
French eSport in the spotlight
France has been shining for several years in eSport, both by the results of the French players on certain games, of the French teams, but also by its events. Among others, one of the most watched events is the Trackmania Cup, organized by streamer ZeratoR, and which is a major competition in the Trackmania scene. This year, for the tenth edition, the competition filled the Accor Arena de Bercy in Paris, for the semi-finals and finals in pairs. The eight qualified duos, out of the thousand two-player teams that would compete at the base, are the following: Bren and CarlJr, Otaaaq and Wosile, Gwen and Affi, Tjalic and Skandear, Binkss and Worker, Snow and Glast, Hugo220 and Tricky, Acide and Yannex. The final phase will take place this Saturday and will be broadcast live on Twitchon ZeratoR’s channel.
Players, team managers, streamers, journalists…
And justly, on the occasion of this tenth edition in Bercyand to celebrate all of eSport, the Elysée has decided to invite many players for an official tea party, in collaboration with the France Esport association. 150 guests are present around the President, by Rima Abdul Malak and Amélie Oudea-Castera, respectively Minister of Culture and Minister of Sports. Among the guests, there are talented players like Gluttony on Smash Bros or ceb on Dota 2, streamers like ZeratoR and Kametorespectively also event organizer and co-founder of the Karmine Corp teamspecialized journalists such as Laure Valee … The Elysée detailed in a press release:
This reception will be an opportunity for the President of the Republic to congratulate the best French esports teams and players for their recent international victories, but also to express his ambition for the video game and esports sectors which contribute to the influence from France.
The President of the Republic will reiterate his desire to host major world sporting events alongside the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
