The First Live-Action Fullmetal Alchemist Movie Came Out Five Years Ago. Despite a particularly lukewarm reception, two other films were started to finish the adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s cult manga on the big screen, right in time to celebrate 20 years of the series. The release of Fullmetal Alchemist: Scar’s Revenge is expected in August 20, 2022in just two weeks.
If the first film had been entitled to a cinema release in Japan, the rest of the world had discovered the feature film on Netflix, a few months later. This time again, we discover the film with a delay of four months. Fullmetal Alchemist: Scar’s Revenge will be available directly on the SVOD platform from August 20, 2022. While waiting for the release of the film, it is possible to discover (or review) the famous animated series also on Netflix.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Scar’s Revenge is the sequel to the 2017 film. brothers Edward and Alin their quest for bring their mother back to life through alchemy. The experiment goes wrong and the two brothers lose a part of themselves : Edward loses an arm and a leg, and Al is nothing more than a spirit attached to a metal body. The two brothers then embark on a quest in search of the Philosopher’s Stone hoping to find what they lost.
A Mysterious Serial Killer Starts Targeting State Alchemists for their crimes against God. Brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric find themselves vulnerable to this formidable adversary, who bears a cross-shaped scar on his forehead. They will however have to face it and face well other dangers awaiting them, lurking in the shadows.
The mangas of Hiromu Arakawa are adapted in screenplay by Takeshi Miyamoto and Fumihiko Sori. The latter is also directing, and we owe him the first film in particular. Fullmetal Alchemist: Scar’s Revenge is produced by the studios Warner Bros. Japan and Square Enix, and distributed by Netflix. The music is composed by Reiji Kitasatolike in the first Fullmetal Alchemist movie.
We are going to find the cast of the first film, with Ryosuke Yamada in the role of Edward, and Atomu Mizuishi in that of Alphonse. Dean Fujioka and Tsubasa Honda return to portray Roy Mustang and Winry. Mackenyu Arata comes to camp the character of Scar, the main antagonist of the second feature film. Yuina Kuroshima plays the role of Lan Fan, and Keisuke Watanabe that of Ling Yao.
