Here are all the details you need for the release of Genshin Impact 3.1 later today, September 27.
Well, that is if you’re in the US, at least, because it turns out the Genshin Impact 3.1 update won’t be released until very early the next day for European audiences. Genshin Impact 3.1 full release times are 8pm PT/11pm ET on September 27 and 4am BST/5am CEST on September 28.
This means that it will be very late at night or very early in the morning for you, depending on where you are in the world. That is, of course, if you’re looking to start running the new update as soon as it’s available, but it’s always worth remembering that this new 3.1 update isn’t a time-limited event.
Additionally, Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse always conducts routine maintenance periods before new updates are released to the game. This means that while the 3.1 update could technically launch at the times above, you always have to be mindful of when the update is installed on your PC, console, or phone.
As for what the new update actually features, we reported on the introduction of all Genshin Impact 3.1 banners earlier this month. Genshin Impact’s roster of characters continues to grow with five-star Cyno and Nilou, while four-star Candace rounds out the trio. Cyno uses Electro, while Nilou and Candace wield the Hydro element.
Finally, the new update sees the Sumeru region expanding into the desert. This beloved region first appeared in the ongoing game in the hefty 3.0 update, so the addition of even more environments to explore within Sumeru will no doubt be welcomed by fans.
