A Genshin Impact fan shares an interesting video showing a Gorou player shooting arrows while using the animation cancel mechanic.
Genshin Impact the updates bring two separate banner cycles, each with a limited five-star and four-star character set. With the end of Yelan’s Discerner of Enigmas banner, a new line of limited characters has arrived.
The new banner has brought back the popular five-star character Arataki Itto along with three other four-star stars including his loyal supporter Gorou. A recent post about the Genshin Impact subreddit shows that Gorou is capable of much more than being an off-field support.
Reddit user Hooter2048 has revealed an interesting video that shows the character Gorou shooting his arrows at a fast pace. Gorou is a popular four star Geo bow user introduced during Genshin Impact update 2.3. The Redditor claims that Gorou in his party managed to turn his character into an arrow machine gun by spamming the aim and fire commands on this controller. This is apparently possible for all bow users in the game, but Gorou has the shortest animation, making him the perfect choice to exploit this unique mechanic.
Multiple answers in the comments section state that even using controllers, it’s impossible to get Gorou to fire his arrows at such a fast rate and players must have been using some kind of software that allows them to map scripts/macros onto a single button. A couple of fans stated that they have been banned for using similar software in the game. Even though Gorou is widely regarded as one of the best four-star supports in Genshin Impacthe’s actually a very situational character who benefits from having so many Geo users in his team composition.
The various benefits of his elemental ability, Inuzaka All-round Defense, are based on the number of Geo characters in the party. Fortunately for Gorou, Geo works independently of all other elements, as he can only trigger one elemental reaction, Crystalize, meaning players can have multiple Geo characters on a team without compromising the elemental reaction potential of the group.
Arataki Itto has finally received his first Genshin Impact limited repetition of the banner after more than five months. He is one of the best DPS characters in the game right now, especially if he is surrounded by the right team composition that includes Gorou. The introduction of him in update 2.3 has started an interesting trend of including four Geo characters in the same party, with Arataki Itto as the main DPS. Players usually pick Geo users Zhongli and Albedo two to fill the remaining two spots in the group.
Genshin Impact It is available now for PC, PS4, PS5 and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
