God of War Ragnarok Releases November 9 for PS5 and PS4, and pre-orders start today, July 15, at 7am PT / 10am ET. It’s one of the biggest games of the year and there will be four separate editions available at launch. Because it’s such an early release, you’ll want to make sure you pre-order your preferred version early. This is especially true for the Collector’s Edition and Jotnar’s Edition, as they both come with a ton of goodies and are sure to sell out quickly.
God of War Ragnarok Preorder Bonuses
If you pre-order any edition of God of War Ragnarok, You will receive two in-game cosmetics: Kratos Risen Snow Armor and Atreus Risen Snow Tunic.. These are “Launch Edition” bonuses, so the code will either be in the box or added to your PlayStation account when purchasing a digital version. While there’s a chance you could get the launch edition in stores without pre-ordering on November 9, your best bet is to pre-order. After all, God of War Ragnarok will undoubtedly be one of the best-selling games of the holiday season.
$60-$70

The God of War Ragnarok Standard Edition includes the base game and both cosmetics (at launch). People who buy a PS4 copy will have the option to upgrade to a PS5 version for $10, regardless of whether they buy a physical or digital edition.

The God of War Ragnarok Digital Deluxe Edition will come with a ton of in-game content as well as additional bonuses that will appeal to dedicated fans. All bonuses in the game will be unlocked at various points throughout the story. It also comes with the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. The God of War Ragnarok Collector’s Edition doesn’t have a price yet, but it’s sure to sell out fast when it’s released. We imagine it’s pretty expensive, too. The collector’s edition begins with the ornate box that everything comes in. The box is a replica of the Keeper of Knowledge Shrine, which appeared in God of War.
The Collector’s Edition comes with a digital copy of Ragnarok that will play on the PS5 and PS4 versions. It’s a bit annoying that it doesn’t include a physical drive, especially since the CE has a steel case with the bear and wolf stamped on the front. Here’s everything you get exclusively with God of War Ragnarok’s Collector’s Edition:
- 16″ Mjolnir Hammer Replica
- Vanir 2″ cufflink sizes
- dwarf dice game
- steel box
You also get all the freebies from the Digital Deluxe Edition:
- Darkdale Kratos Armor
- Atreus Darkdale Outfit
- Darkdale Blades handles for Blades of Chaos
- Darkdale ax hilt for the Leviathan ax
- God of War Ragnarok Digital Soundtrack
- Dark Horse Mini Digital Art Book
- avatar set
- ps4 theme

For the ultimate God of War fans, meet the Jotnar Edition. It comes with just about everything from the Collector’s Edition, as well as additional bonuses. We don’t know the price yet, but it will surely cost quite a bit more than the Collector’s Edition. In short, it will be expensive. These are the exclusive items you get with the Jotnar Edition:
- 7-inch vinyl with two tracks by Bear McCreary
- The Hawk, Bear and Wolf Pin Set
- The Legendary Draupnir Ring in a red cloth bag
- Brok’s Dice Set (instead of EC Dwarves’ Dice Set)
- Yggdrasil Cloth Map
You also get the 16-inch Mjolnir replica, the 2-inch Vanir Twins Carvings, a steel case, a digital game code for PS5 and PS4, and the following digital items:
- Darkdale Kratos Armor

- Darkdale ax hilt for the Leviathan ax
- God of War Ragnarok Digital Soundtrack
- Dark Horse Mini Digital Art Book

God of War Ragnarok takes place after the original, putting players back in the shoes of Kratos. His son, Atreus, is a bit older for this installment, and his role in the narrative is arguably more important than ever. The duo are on a mission to learn more about Loki’s prophecy, traversing the Nine Realms and facing off against the Norse gods in the process.
