gotham knights emerges as a true spiritual successor of the Arkham games. That has been evident in the two deep dives of the game released by WB Games Montreal over the past year. But a new character-focused trailer shared during Summer Games Fest 2022 focuses on Nightwing, showing off his abilities as he introduces the man behind the mask, Dick Grayson.

Probably the first in a line of videos to come highlighting each of the playable characters in gotham knights, Nightwing’s character trailer highlights his parkour skills and martial arts prowess. He also shows off his glider, grappling hook, escrima sticks, and wrist darts, and the various outfits and looks (at least three) that he will have in the game. It also gives fans insight into his motivations for protecting Gotham.

We also get a closer look at some of the enemies and brutes (though not Talons) tearing up the streets after the deaths of Batman and Jim Gordon. Near the end, there are some glimpses of Nightwing fighting alongside Batgirl and later Robin, showing off the game’s 2-player co-op system.

EITHERoriginally scheduled to launch in 2021, gotham knights I was delayed until 2022 so that the developers could “deliver the best possible experience to players”. It will now be released on October 25, 2022 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with its last-gen versions cancelled. Follow Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Robin (Tim Drake) as face the Court of Owls.
