In Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, you will come to get Caladbolg, Trahearne’s ancient sword. With this unique sword in your possession, you will be able to restore Caladbolg. To do so, you will first need to complete the Knight of the Thorn achievements.

The Regenerated Sword
The Sword Regrown achievement assigns you the complete restoration of Caladbolg. This achievement has a few different steps, so let’s take a look at them below.
Step one
First, you’ll need Bring the rewards from the previous two achievements to Ridhais, along with a Vision Crystal.
A Vision Crystal is an item that can be crafted once you reach level 500 in the following crafting jobs.

To craft it, you will also need the following items.
- 1x Stone of Omens
- 5x Bloodstone Brick
- 5x Dragonite Ingot
- 5x Empyrean Star
Second step
When you talk to Ridhais, he will first ask you for the Vision Crystal. When you give it to her, she will tell you that find her in Kessex Hills, near the Shadowheart Site Waypoint. From the Waypoint, head west until you reach the instance.
Play this instance and then go back to your house and talk to Ridhais again.
Step three
Now, you will have to give him the Spiritwood Scion. After doing so, head to the Pact Camp Waypoint in Verdant Brink. Play through this instance of the story and then once again return home to Ridhais.
Step four

This is a relatively short achievement that only requires you to Talk to the Pale Tree Avatar in The Grove.
To unlock this quest, you will need to wait until the next reset time. For example, if the game restarts at 6:00 pm and it is currently 9:00 pm, you will need to wait until tomorrow. If, on the other hand, it is only 5:00 p.m., you will only have to wait an hour. EITHEROnce you have waited, you will receive a mail asking you to go to the Pale Tree.
From the Upper Commons Waypoint, head to the elevator that goes up to the Chamber of Omphalos instance. Here you will be able to talk to the Avatar of the Pale Tree and complete the achievement. You will also receive the title of Knight of the Thorn once it is completed.

From here you can use 1,000 Magic Unleashed along with the current Caladbolg weapon to purchase a new one. Buying another type will unlock the skin; once you unlock all five you will complete this achievement.
This method will allow you to get all skins, but not being able to keep all the weapons. If you want to keep them all, you’ll need to create additional characters, but this is a lengthy process.
