hollywood veteran Vera Farmiga couldn’t speak highly enough about co-star Hailee Steinfeld’s performance on the recent Disney Plus Marvel show Hawk Eye.
Farmiga played Eleanor Bishop on the show, mother of Steinfeld’s character Kate Bishop. In an interview with ForbesFarmiga revealed his feelings about Steinfeld and his performance.
“Wasn’t she fantastic at it? She is wonderful. I love seeing her work. Apparently she’s coming out with a song… She’s so talented on all fronts. … She is a great actress, great actress. What she did with that role was really charming and badass and great. She is amazing.”
The song he is referring to is called “Coast”, featuring Anderson.Paak, released in late July. Steinfeld, of course, is no stranger to the MCU. He famously voiced Gwen Stacy in the 2018 film. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and will reprise the role for the 2023 sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
It is also rumored that she could return as Kate Bishop at some point in the future for a potential young avengers Project.
This is not the first time Farmiga has spoken highly of Steinfeld. When she was doing press for the show, she said that she was “amazed” by the young actress.
“To be honest, I’ve been in awe of this young lady ever since that first film, and I’ve also loved this delicate and complex motherly relationship with her daughters. It’s a tough sport raising a successful daughter, especially when the daughter and mother have different ideas of what success means. But yeah, happy to be by Hailee’s side on this.”
Hawk Eye is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
