How to do the FIFA 23 McGeady Spin

the FIFA 23 McGeady Spin it’s a skill that can get you out of a jam, and it’s also a requirement of the Mbappe Rising Star Moments challenge. The skill was popularized by former Everton winger Aiden McGeady and sees the player spin a full 90 degrees with the ball and accelerate out of the spin to the point where, if performed correctly in the game of football, the defender just can’t go on.

The FIFA Ultimate Team Moments section can be a great way to earn free packs, and potentially some FIFA 23 icons, for what is essentially completing a bunch of tutorials. However, this spin challenge from McGeady is an example of how they get more complicated as you go, so if you’re wondering exactly how to pull off the skill move, you’ve come to the right place. This is not only relevant to Ultimate Team, as you can also take your new talent into Career Mode or Pro Clubs.

FIFA 23 McGeady Spin Walkthrough

There are two different ways to execute a McGeady turn, depending on which direction you want to exit. The spin itself will cause the player to exit the skill move at a 90-degree angle to how they were initially facing, and this is reflected in the required analog stick inputs. However, the most important thing to keep in mind before attempting this is that it can only be done by players with four or five star skill moves.

To execute a McGeady spin, you need to move the right analog stick in the direction the player is facing, then at a 90-degree angle to the left or right. For example, if the player is looking straight up, the first movement of the right analog stick would be up, then if you want to turn left, simply move the right stick to the left. The embedded video below is from FIFA 22, but it’s the same method you should employ here.

An effective use of the McGeady spin in a game would be if you are running down either wing with your player. Shaking up your defender is paramount in these situations, and being able to change direction in an instant is vitally important: using McGeady’s spin in a full sprint means the defender won’t have enough time to react to the change of direction.

You’ll need at least a four-star expert to pull off this twist, but with FIFA 23’s upcoming icons, heroes, and even OTW cards, there shouldn’t be too much of a shortage in player skill. If you need to stack packs for a better chance of drawing one of those special cards, you should complete FIFA 23 Around The World and First XI SBC as both will give you the best chance of drawing a special card.
