Where to find the Red Serpent Orb

The only place you can find the Red Serpent Orb is by hunting Crimson Glow Valstrax. This is an elder dragon, capable of appearing anywhere in Monster Hunter Rise. You will need to reach hunter rank 100, which you can do by working on other hunts in the game, collecting more resources, and using the best equipment for your character. We recommend finding Monster Hunter groups online with random players if you’re not actively working with friends to level up your character.

After accepting a hunt from Valstrax and attempting to defeat him, the best way to harvest a red snake orb is to carve it from the body or tail, breaking Valstrax’s chest or head, or causing him to quake. There is also a chance that you can receive this item for completing the quest. However, all of these chances are extremely low, so you may have to go through several hunts against a Valstrax before receiving it. Also, you’ll want to avoid capturing a Valstrax, as there are several chances that a red serpent orb will drop when carving it, which you forgo if you set a trap.
