In order to inspect your weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you only have to hold down a single button. If you are playing on consoles, to inspect your weapon you will have to press and hold the left direction on the D-pad. If you’re using a mouse and keyboard or playing on a PC, you’ll need to press the ‘I’ key to inspect your weapon. This will play an animation showing your operator checking out your weapon in all its glory.
In the animation, they will also remove the magazine to check the ammo it contains. All the attachments and the modifications you have made will be clearly visible. While inspecting the weapon, it is important to know that it will be completely unarmed, that is, you will not be able to shoot, but as soon as the animation ends, you will be able to shoot again.
