News hardware iOS 16: here is the date of the arrival of the public beta from Apple
Developers have been able to access the iOS 16 beta since the beginning of June, but curious users of Apple devices are still waiting their turn. We now know when this version of the OS will be available to everyone.
It’s a tradition at Apple: when WWDC is held, developers are the first to have access to the beta of the new version of iOS for several weeks. A public beta in July for iOS 16
Good news if you are among the impatient who want to install iOS 16 as soon as possible on their terminal : according to the very knowledgeable Mark Gurman, journalist of Bloomberg, the public beta of the operating system should start “in the week of July 11”. This version should match beta 3 for developers.
For those wondering where iOS 16 beta 2 is, the public beta (developer beta 3) should be out the week of July 11. So, based on past history, I’d guess that beta 2 is next week, with beta 3 to follow 2 weeks after that.

Patience is therefore still required: another three weeks to wait before you can install iOS 16 beta on your iPhone.
Note that this new version of the operating system requires one of the following models :
- iPhone SE (2022)
- iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max
- iPhone 13 and 13 mini
- iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 12 and 12 mini
- iPhone SE (2020)
- iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max
- iPhone 11
- iPhone XS
- iPhone XS Max
- iPhone XR
- iPhone X
- iPhone 8
- iPhone 8Plus
This means that iPhones that do not have at least an Apple A11 chip will not be able to take advantage of the iOS 16 beta. This observation is also valid for the final version of the operating system, as far as to her scheduled for the end of the year: it will automatically equip the entire range of iPhone 14, which should be formalized in September 2022.
