Tom Holland’s hot streak 2017-2022 might be about to end after the actor confirmed he’s taking a break from the screen, but it’s a potential connection between Spider-Man: No Way Home Y Unexplored which has sparked the discussion.
Weather no way home grossed considerably more money than the film adaptation of the PlayStation hit Unexplored, there could be common ground between the two. There are two obvious factors that bring them together, both produced by Sony Pictures and both starring English actor Tom Holland.
The star’s appearance in both has sparked a new fan theory online that perhaps Peter Parker and Nathan Drake are the same thing. Posted to /r/FanTheories on Reddit by /u/valkyria_knight881, it caused a stir on the subreddit.
The evidence is perhaps quite flimsy and requires a lot of matching, but it’s still pretty stupid. Nathan Drake being Peter Parker’s original name is the crux of the theory, and that Aunt May changed her nephews’ names for, well, a reason. You may be thinking, why doesn’t the theory just say that it’s because everyone forgot who Peter Parker is at the end of no way home?
Using shenanigans from the multiverse to explain things could be the way to go for fan theories. With popular releases like everything everywhere at once Y Doctor strange in the multiverse of madnessthis is the new Hell we live in. At least the theory is not that everything is a dream or that someone is in limbo.
There will be official and appropriate sequels for Spider-Man: No Way Home finally, with Kevin Feige confirming that an additional movie is in development for the webhead.
