Laura Linney revealed that she’s not quite ready to say goodbye to Ozark just yet. The Wendy Byrde actress not only said that she would be signing up for more episodes, but also explained that she has yet to see the season 4 finale.
Ozark came to a climactic end on Netflix in April with a dramatic — and for some, tragic — final episode. “I haven’t seen it,” Linney told the Vulture. (opens in a new tab) when asked about his thoughts on the matter. “I don’t know what they chose. I’m really bad at looking at myself and I’m particularly bad at seeing things that I really love because they’re going to change the moment I see them. I can’t really comment on that.”
The star was then asked what the show’s different endings were, which she closed by commenting on the moments they “picked” in the ending. Linney responded, “No. I’m not going to do that,” explaining that she doesn’t think it’s her job to comment on viewers’ reactions to the show.
While we may never find this out, we may get something else from Ozark. “I’m having a real Ozark retreat,” Linney continued, revealing that she would be signing up for more. “Everything worked. All the right people were in the right jobs.”
Showrunner Chris Mundy has hinted at a potential spin-off, who shared his thoughts on continuing the story. “It’s definitely something that people have talked about a lot,” Mundy told TVLine. (opens in a new tab). “There’s nothing definitive. We’re lucky that people really like the show, so obviously there’s going to be some interest there.” Look at this space…
