Mario Strikers Battle League update adds Diddy Kong and Pauline today

It also adds a new stadium

Diddy Kong and Pauline are the latest free DLC/upgraded characters for Mario Strikers: Battle Leagueand they are out.

Originally confirmed in the recent September Nintendo Direct, this is actually a full update for battle league, billed as version 1.2.0. Not only does it add the content mentioned above (Diddy Kong, Pauline, the Planetoid Stadium, and more gear), but it also serves as a kind of tweak patch. CPU teammates are now more agile, load times for perfect passes have been changed, and you now earn more coins overall. Clubs will also now be banned from participating in a season for 30 days of downtime instead of 90 days if no one shows up online during that time period.

Note that this follows the previous July update (1.1.0), which added Daisy, Shy Guy, and the Desert Ruin stadium into the mix. Weather Mario Strikers: Battle League it had a solid foundation at launch, it really needed more content to justify itself to a lot of people. It’s already there, list-wise.
