Game News Marvel’s Avengers is getting a big update, revamped mission system
After welcoming Spider-Man as a hero at the end of 2021, we thought that the Marvel’s Avengers game was going to take a little break before offering real new features, yet in just a few days, the title will receive a big update that will fix many problems.
A redesigned War Table
At the end of the week, on March 24, the game service Marvel’s Avengers will be entitled to a new major update. Entitled “Patch 2.3”, this proposal decides to correct many faults – which we had pointed out in particular when the game was launched in 2020 – by proposing to review the War Table, the table of missions, from A to Z.
One of the first major changes you’ll notice when interacting with the War Table on March 24 is that missions no longer change every 15 minutes. Instead, “Drop Zones” and “Threat Areas” appear on the War Table at all times.”’ Square Enix
In other words, now all “drop zone” and “threat sector” missions remain displayed on the War Table in order to allow players to vary the pleasures. But that’s not all, we also learn that the “hives” of each area will be revealed when the player has reached a sufficient power level and that each region now has a “minimum power level and a suggested maximum power level”.
Zones by level
- East Coast – power level 1-25
- Pacific Northwest – power level 25-50
- Utah Badlands – power level 50-75
- Snowy Tundra – power level 75-100
- Future wasteland – power level 100-125
- Wakanda – power level 100-140

However, it is hoped that areas for beginner heroes (like East Coast) will see their statistics increased when the player has enough power to prevent them from repeating the same missions over and over again. Note also that it is no longer necessary to take missions from factions to make “villain sectors” visible on the map. The “Normal Villain Sectors” mission chains, meanwhile, will refresh daily and the “Elite Villain Sectors” weekly. In other news, it is no longer necessary to obtain coordinates for “Vaults” missions to appear on the map.
Nick Fury takes on a new role
This new update also takes the opportunity to deploy new “threat sectors” and “drop zones”, but also to highlight Nick Fury. Indeed, the leader of the Avengers is finally back on Helicarrier, the superhero team’s aircraft carrier. Indeed, the character will serve as a guide for new players and will replace JARVIS from time to time in the introductory dialogues of missions.
Finally, note also that the progression system to unlock certain missions has been reviewed and corrected to make the experience – sometimes confusing – much more accessible.
