Now that we know that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will assemble its own team of anti-heroes and villains before Ray Hitting theaters in July 2024, speculation has inevitably turned to potential members of the titular unit.
The smart money would be on Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine acting as ringleader, especially after the passing of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross actor William Hurt, while the main contenders appearing on every wish list include Wyatt Russell. John Walker, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, Daniel Brühl’s Zemo and Sam Rockwell’s Justin Hammer, to name just four.
With Spider-Man: No Way Home Y Hawk Eye reintroducing Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, which is going to pay big dividends in upcoming shows Echo Y Daredevil: Born Againthe door has officially opened for more Netflix favorites to come to the MCU.
That said, she’s one of the more polarizing figures from the Defenders Saga that’s been dominating the discussion on Reddit, with fans wondering if Rachael Taylor’s Trish Walker could come out of the cold and embrace her Hellcat persona.

Many viewers didn’t really like Trish’s character or her arc throughout the three seasons of Jessica Jones, but the last we saw of her was that she was sent to the Raft, the prison that has been a part of official MCU canon for a while now. It can’t be ruled out that she could make the cut, then, and it would be another added layer with which to tie Netflix shows back together in continuity.
