Metal Max Xeno Reborn has many WANTED monsters – enemy bosses that are difficult to defeat but offer a colossal gold reward when defeated. Unfortunately, most of them are unstoppable unless you’ve built a full party.
Fortunately, a boss, the taurus gunIt is manageable on its own. Gun Taurus is an easy WANTED monster to target because you will have the environment of the Ariake West Channel To help you. Do you feel shaky in your combat boots? Without worries! We will show you how to do it.
What do you need to know about Gun Taurus?
Gun Taurus is the least intimidating of all the early-stage WANTED monsters. In turn, the monster has a low reward of 15,000G. Still, 15,000 G is nothing to scoff at, especially early in the campaign. Gun Taurus resembles the tanks you’ll find under the overpasses leading to the canal. However, Gun Taurus sports a tan paint job and has a single green eye between its two barrels.
WANTED data regarding Gun Taurus is quite vague. Here are their logs:
“No relevant data found in the recorded logs. All evidence indicates that you will need a vehicle with high SP and serious firepower. Find out how to defeat it yourself.”
Fortunately, since we defeated this mechanical beast, we found more information about Gun Taurus in the monster library. Here are some statistics to know:

Where will you find Gun Taurus?
After entering the Tsukiji Ruins, travel southeast under a series of overpasses and prepare to face hordes of unmanned tanks on your way. You may want to dedicate a trip to clear the path of tanks. This way you can travel back to Iron Base and recover, then approach the Gun Taurus with full SP. After the last overpass, turn left and you will see the canal where Gun Taurus is hiding.
Still, once you find Gun Taurus, you should avoid engagement and retreat as soon as possible. At this point, your goal is to travel to the other side of the channel. Then keep driving to the Exterior of the great atrium. Traveling the extra distance will allow you to leave in a more advantageous location on your next trip. This new exit point is essential, as you’ll take a few hits going through Gun Taurus during your first time on the channel.
What weapons should you equip?
When preparing for the battle against Gun Taurus, focus on equipping weapons with high attack power. Canyons and SE’s are the best. However, it is always beneficial to equip at least one machine gun in case your other weapons run out of ammo.
In addition, we strongly recommend equipping the double stroke trait token This microchip enables an attack that fires both port one and port two weapons simultaneously. So equipping two high-powered cannons in the first two ports will give you a powerful attack with the Double Rush chip installed.
Since cold weapons are less effective against Gun Taurus, they are best avoided. For example, we were able to finish off the monster with a double assault of a non-elemental cannon and Freeze Blast. However, defeating Gun Taurus with this combination of weapons took a long time.
We also recommend upgrading your tank engine at the outlet garage. Doing so will increase your carrying capacity, which positively impacts SP.
How to defeat Gun Taurus
You will notice an area with boxes overlooking the Ariake West Canal. If you do a U-turn to get out of the canal, you can find an effective hiding spot behind the crates above the Gun Taurus. There is a small opening where you can target the Gun Taurus and start your assault. This opening is the key to ending the monster.
Your battle with Gun Taurus will proceed as follows. First, attack Gun Taurus from the opening of the crates. Then, Gun Taurus will face you. Instead of continuing to fire, quickly back your tank away from Gun Taurus until you can’t find it. Your engagement with the monster will be broken before the monster can launch an attack.
Once you understand this cycle of attack and retreat, go through it several times. You will have to be patient as you slowly take HP off of Gun Taurus. Using Double Rush will speed up the battle. However, if you run out of ammo, use spare ammo or switch to machine gun attacks. Gun Taurus will explode in a matter of minutes.
What weapons can you make using Gun Taurus parts?
Defeating Gun Taurus offers significant rewards. First, the monster drops the SE weapon, crimson taurus. Also, Gun Taurus drops a Taurus Core Y killer core. These two materials can craft and upgrade various weapons. Here are some examples.

After defeating a WANTED monster the first time, you can fight it again after an extended period. Unfortunately, defeating these monsters again will not reward the same reward. Still, you will get the necessary materials such as Killing Cores which will allow you to upgrade weapons to the highest capacity.
