Netflix subscribers have been hungry for Strange things content for what seems like forever, with the third batch of episodes dropping in July 2019, but the wait is almost over. In less than two weeks, the phenomenon returns with its highly anticipated fourth season, and viewership records are about to be blown when the day comes.
Three years is an eternity in the world of television, but not one has Strange things threatened to relinquish its status as the streaming service’s episodic crown jewel, even with heavy hitters like The Wizard, squid gameY Bridgerton coming to dominate the cultural conversation in the meantime.
The season three finale left many doors open and many questions unanswered, but star Millie Bobby Brown revealed in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that we don’t have to worry that no stone of history will be left unturned.
“The main part and tagline of this story is that it is the beginning of the end. We really have to dig into [Eleven’s] beginning and how she became who she is with the people around her, and how to gain that autonomy and become this woman on her own. So this story this season really delves into that. Definitely a lot of responses, a lot of crying, a lot of laughter.”
Schedules around the world are clearing, so the first volume of stranger things 4 can be devoured in one sitting, with the opening salvo landing on May 27, before the later half premieres five weeks later on July 1.
