Minecraft potential combat update would be a good time to revisit the fletching charts

The Wild Update has finally arrived, giving Minecraft players will have new adventures in swamps and cave dives. Mangroves and frogs offer players a more dynamic swamp experience than ever before, while the Deep Dark biome offers a spooky new adventure that not even End or Nether can compare to. Of course, now that the last Minecraft Now that the update is out, fans are starting to look to the future. Mojang has many delayed features in development, and while any one of them could inspire the inevitable 1.20 patch, it’s possible that MinecraftThe combat update teased from will take slot 1.20.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Mojang has said before that it is interested in reworking various elements of MinecraftCombat, that sounds like a great way to go. Combat is an essential part of Minecraft Survival gameplay, so it should regularly evolve along with the rest of the game. However, swordsmanship is not all Mojang should focus on. Arrow tables have been without any player-side functionality for many years, which is tempting for Minecraft arch-favoring fans. This archery-related block should finally get some special crafting abilities in the next big Minecraft update, especially if the next update is about combat.

The minecraft fletching table has been neglected

The feathering table was added to Minecraft as part of patch 1.14, better known as the Village and Pillage update. As the name implies, Village and Pillage focused heavily on adding more functionality to Minecraft towns; this involved adding many new blocks that served as work sites for the villagers. Many of these blocks are extremely useful even outside of a town, like composters that turn plant waste into bone meal or stonemasons that make stone blocks more efficiently, but feathering tables thrown in with no use for players, apart from using archers.

After 1.14 came out, Mojang promised that feathering tables would one day have a use outside of villages, but some three years later, fletching tables are still nearly useless. It’s a shame to see that the feathering tables have fallen by the wayside, especially considering how useful many of the other Village and Pillage blocks have proven in the years since. It is true that the existence of arrows with points in Minecraft makes it a bit harder to imagine a new use for feathering tables, but there are still some clever ways Mojang could encourage Minecraft archers to set up a fletching table in his workshop.

Possible uses of the Minecraft strapping table

Perhaps the simplest possible use for a feathering table would be to make tipped arrows only craftable with the help of a feathering table. Minecraft Similarly, created a new way to create banners in Java Edition via Loom. However, it would be more interesting if the fletching tables helped players craft new arrows that didn’t involve potions. For example, feathering tables could allow Minecraft players to make “trick arrows” that place certain blocks on impact with a mob or the ground. Players can spend redstone in the way that a Minecraft The enchantment table spends lapis lazuli to make trick arrows that set webs, cacti, or even TNT on fire.

Alternatively, fletching boards can be used to modify bows and crossbows in some way. For example, players can find ways to strengthen these weapons, increasing their durability or range without the aid of an enchantment. weapon modification in Minecraft It would be a bit unorthodox, but since bows and crossbows don’t have material tiers like swords or axes, a mod system could give these weapons an edge. Regardless of what Mojang decides to do with fletching tables, however, these blocks seem like an ideal feature to return in a combat-focused update. Mojang may have primarily discussed plans to redesign melee weapons, but ranged weapons are just as important, so it’s time fletching tables got the functionality they deserve.

Minecraft is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
