Modern Warfare 2 isn’t out yet, but its beta test has already logged almost 110,000 concurrent players on its debut day on Steam.
Granted, that’s only a fraction of the player base (the beta is also available to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X users), but it’s a good indication of how much interest the game has and illustrates how many People are eager to try out the shooter ahead of its formal release on October 28, 2022.
This means that the modern warfare 2 (opens in a new tab) beta is currently exceeding Steam DB (opens in a new tab) the “Hot Games” and “Popular Releases” lists, and currently has more concurrent players than established games like Dead by Daylight and Elden Ring.
Interestingly, its all-time peak concurrent player count of almost 110,000 players (the official figure is 109,425) is higher than the all-time FIFA 22, Resident Evil Village, and Battlefield 2042 combined – not bad for a game that has yet to play. has not come out. huh?
Did you miss the first beta test and wonder if the hype is real? Alright. The countdown clock to the next Modern Warfare 2 beta (opens in a new tab) has finished, and the second test was launched on Thursday, September 22.
However, not everyone can play. While it’s an open beta test for PS5 and PS4 owners – just head over to the PlayStation Store and download it from there – Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC players can only take part if they’ve dropped off a Modern Warfare 2 pre-order.
