One of the best acquisitions in the company’s history.
While Monolith Soft is hard at work on their robust core RPGs that they are known for, they are also helping out Nintendo with several titles of their own. From time to time we take a look at the games that really help work, like the Zelda Serie. As spotted by Nintendo Life, it appears that Monolith Soft has added a new game to its repertoire on its company’s list of games: Splatoon 3.
As the long list points out, Monolith Soft has been helping out on a lot of Nintendo’s own games: including previous entries in the splatoon Serie. This is not unlike the relationship many other studios have with larger publishers such as High Moon Studios and Vicarious Visions who help Activision with franchises like Destiny. This particular drop of information they worked on Splatoon 3 is fascinating though, given that he and the massive undertaking that is xenoblade chronicles 3 they were released basically at the same time.
While the company started in 1999, it was taken over by Nintendo in 2007 and has been a staple studio in the publisher ever since. They have grown year over year, going from 150 employees in 2017 to roughly doubling recently. As I have said on numerous occasions, I hope they continue their career indefinitely. They are an asset to Nintendo and are not celebrated enough.
