Let’s face it: actors and actresses can’t be to everyone’s liking. They may be your favorites, but they won’t be for others. So when this Reddit user shared his best thoughts on the comedian kevin hartmovie fans came to his defense as to why OP’s thoughts could be “wrong” at best.
According to Reddit user u/whackamole123456, Hart is a “shitty actor.” They don’t understand why Hart performs alongside well-established actors, nor do they love his acting methods. He felt that Hart’s performance is forced and should be defined as a ‘B-rated actor’.
OP’s views on Hart were well received on r/movies, as he currently has 33,000 upvotes and has six silver, five useful, and a “take my energy” award.
However, some fans tried to reason OP why Hart tends to play certain roles repeatedly. Some compared Hart to Dwayne Johnson, Keanu Reeves and Ryan Reynolds. Like Hart, these actors are also stuck in certain roles as it is what the fans want and what makes money for these production companies.

Others argued that aside from being “stuck in a box” for certain roles, he’s very easy to work with, which is why you see him cast with other A-list actors, like in the modern reboot of Jumanji. A Reddit user who claimed to have worked with Hart in the past confirmed his professionalism and hard-working nature.

But let’s face it, even if Hart is stuck playing the ‘comedic sidekick’ in these movies, he’s pretty cool. Don’t get me wrong, OP’s sentiments are valid, especially thanks to the recent critical flop that was Personal time. But every time you see Hart interact with the other actors in a big-budget Hollywood movie, there’s instant chemistry.
