neon white It goes hard from the first mission. But it’s with mission 6 that you start to see that this game is starting to kick things into gear. Without a doubt, this mission contains some of the most fiendish levels in the game. Fortunately, along with the increased difficulty comes an even greater level of flexibility. This stage really gives you some fun tools to work with and allows for some pretty cool shortcuts.
There are two new types of demons introduced in this stage. A tripwire demon and a landmine demon. These stages are built around these types of enemies. Tripwire daemons bring an element of timing to stages, while landmine daemons function as a dynamic launchpad. When it comes to the landmine fiends, several of the shortcuts will involve ignoring the green sections (which usually indicate where you’re supposed to land). Don’t worry my friend, we’ll walk you through these shortcuts as they come along.
Hanging Gardens
At the end of the stage, after you’ve collected both assault rifles, and the level directs you towards a red door, jump left (through space) instead. Now, while you’re in the air, you’re going to want use one of your assault rifle discards to fire a bomb through the leftmost window.
Then once you land, discard your final assault rifle and fire a bomb at the head of the demon in the room in front of you. Turn around – the level exit is below you. All you need to do now is hit the exit (which will take out surrounding enemies). This shortcut is a great time saver.
Tangled up
If this stage is quite difficult for you, do not feel bad; is easily one of the most brutal stages in the game. That said, this shortcut will help a lot. Start the stage as you normally would, until you reach the red door. Instead of going through the red door, you’ll use your shotgun’s discard ability to take out the enemies you can see on the balcony to your left.
You should be able to arc over the balcony and take out all the tripwire demons and the green demon without even touching the balcony. Then all you have to do is hit the enemies below and finish the stage as you normally would. However, as big of a shortcut as it is, and it’s a huge jump, getting the platinum will largely depend on you actually reducing the angle of your fireball ability. Good luck!
Catering
The time jump in this one is pretty simple, but it also requires you to engage in some pretty clean shooting. Continue through the stage until you reach the canal section. When you see a recharge card on your right, go left. Now, jump across the channel, shooting tripwire demons as you go. Execute this shortcut well and you will almost certainly get the platinum medal!
kill switch
The shortcut for this level is at the end of the stage. Instead of making platforms along the right side of the structure at the end, just make sure you’re standing near the red barrel when shooting the tripwire demons. This will allow you to navigate directly to the stage exit.
Unfortunately, this is another one of those stages where the shortcut won’t be able to do the heavy lifting. Getting platinum here is going to be more about clearing your focus and hitting your shots. Don’t worry, with a little practice you’ll get it.
Falling
After the first continuous drop section, there will be a recharge card. That card leads to a hallway full of tripwire demons. You don’t want to run down the hallway section.. Instead, you’ll want to look to your left and platform around this section. This shortcut will take you directly to the final trapdoor. Shoot the green demon then go through the trapdoor and finish the stage as you normally would. He will easily get that platinum medal.
Disgusting surprise
There are two solid shortcuts at this stage. After bouncing off the first two landmine demons, you’ll find yourself in a giant room with stairs leading down and around to the next one. However, as you know, using the stairs kills careers. So instead you’re going to want to jump from the same corner of the ledge above, and barely be able to hit that green section of the landmine demon.
Almost immediately after the first shortcut, you’ll find a section where there are two landmine demons with a gap between them. There is a bow to your left that travels over the gap. You’ll want to hit the green section of the first landmine fiend so it takes you over the gap, but then you’ll want to hit the second landmine fiend’s section that points toward the arch.
This will send you flying towards other landmine demon. From here on out, you’ll want to continue the stage as usual. Traveling under the arch will absolutely cut a ton of time off your run. You’ll almost certainly claim that platinum medal if you master these two shortcuts.
Bouquet
After grabbing the two assault rifles, jump over the section of the next landmine that points northeast (from your perspective). This will help you skip over a giant section of the stage.
Nevertheless, you will need to use the Assault Rifle Discard ability to bombard two sets of enemies. There is a land mine to your left and a group of demon heads to your right. Both groups of enemies are quite far away. Nevertheless, this shortcut is so substantial that you’ll even have time to stop and line up these shots.
Once you’ve eliminated both groups of enemies, continue the scenario as you normally would. With this shortcut under your belt, you’ll be able to easily claim that platinum medal.
Set up
Continue the scenario as usual, but when you reach the landmine demon with the green section meant to send you towards a set of enemies clustered around a red barrel, jump to the section that will send you to your right.
This will skip a significant section of the stage. However, you will have to shoot the red barrel that you were facing earlier and a red barrel that is on top of you. If you’re sharp enough, you can hit both of them out of the air. Then hit the enemies around the treasure chest and finish the level as you normally would.
travel track
After the section near the end of the stage where you take out a blue demon, continue down the canal. Now, you should be able to see a long row of tripwire demons on the left. You have to shoot the first of this procession. Around the middle of the channel will be your best shot.
From here, take out the yellow demon. Now jump across the gap, discarding the pistol for extra distance. Land next to the giant demon head and take down the lone tripwire demon aiming at it. From here, just finish the stage by jumping from landmine demon to landmine demon like you normally would. This is a big jump; Master it and the platinum medal will be yours.
The race
There are a number of substantial shortcuts you can take at this stage. The first shortcut is Correct at the beginning of the stage. Almost immediately after getting the two sniper rifle cards, jump to the right and over the gap, using both cards’ discard ability to get to the dual channel section.
So almost immediately after that shortcut, you will take two more sniper rifle cards. There will be a wooden platform on your right. Jump and discard both cards to reach the landmine demon in the distance. Now, just finish the stage normally and you’ll claim that platinum medal.
Make sure to use the sniper rifle dash to move through the first blue demon you come across. Not only is this faster, but it actually triggers Tripwire’s daemons later on, which is what will allow you to get a time under 30 seconds.
